Create A Woodland Scene Matchbox Card

022

Hello & Welcome to my tutorial on how to create the gorgeous Woodland Scene Matchbox Cards. There will be plenty of photographs to follow, along with some handy instructions.

So, without further ado…

001

To assemble the base, lay it out flat, & as per the instructions which come with the kit, fold the inner score lines inwards all the way around.

002

Lay the box out flat again & repeat with the middle score lines.

003

Lay out flat again & fold the outer score lines backwards.

004

005

To create the actual box, fold the longer sides inwards, push the corners where they crease & fold the end inwards. This will lock the sides into position.

006

007

Once you have repeated the process with the other end, your box base is completed.

008

To make the struts for the ‘pop-up’ effect, you will need 3 pieces of card the same width of the base x 4cm wide. Score & fold them at 2cm, adding some double-sided tape along one side.

013

Then place the first strut at the front of the box base, leave a gap of between 2-3cm & attach the second strut. Repeat with the third.

014

015

016

Now for the really fun part! Use the die-cuts to decorate the inside of the box, using whatever takes your fancy!

017

018

019

To assemble the sleeve, fold on all the score lines & add a strip of double-sided tape to the tab, fold the whole sleeve in half & it’s done.

009

010

011

012

Now you can decorate the sleeve to co-ordinate with the box & remember to slide the sleeve from the front so that your carefully created scene will pop-up.
