Hi everyone, Cathy here with my first blog post in a while.
One of my goals for the year is to actually do something with all the photos of my children that usually stay stored on my phone. Therefore, for today’s project I have created a scrapbook page, using the Great Outdoors collection and incorporating one of the fabulous teepee card blanks. I think you can tell why I chose this collection!
I really don’t create scrapbook pages very often, but when I do I like to make 8×8 layouts as they are great for home decor. Before I started, I planned my layout then began by choosing my background paper and backing it onto a piece of black card, just to make it stronger. I added some strips of paper and a hexagon to add contrast and interest:
Next, I added my photo, which I backed with black card to help it stand out, to the page.
I cut the front from a teepee blank and stuck it together, before adding patterned paper:
I added a sentiment and some Candi before placing my teepee on to the page.
Finally, I wanted to add a few words about the picture, so that we would remember when and where it was taken. For this I used one of the hexagon toppers as it had plenty of space for writing.
My eldest son in particular is thrilled with the page I made him.
I hope I’ve inspired you to use your Craftwork Cards papers and card blanks in a different way. I’d love to see your projects on the Craftwork Cards fan page on Facebook.
