Be Experimental – Stamping with the Gelli Plate

Hello, it is Pascale here today on the blog. I want to encourage you to be experimental with your crafting. Some of my favourite cards are from experiments. So today I am sharing this card I made using the Gelli plate and Craftwork Cards Stamp it Stamps.

What do I need?

Gelli Plate

Stamp It Stamps from Craftwork Cards

Acrylic Paint

Distress Ink

A Wink of Stella pens

Card stock

First choose your stamps, that you want to use on the Gelli Plate and attach to a block. Choose your paint colours and put a small amount onto your Gelli plate. Use the brayer to spread the paint and then very quickly stamp your stamps into the paint. Place your card on top and take a print. Take another print. I used the second generation print for my card.

Now I need to add more interest to the print. I decided to use the same stamps but with distress inks.

This is now our handmade  backing sheet cut it down to size.

I have added a strip of kraft card onto which I stamped Happy Birthday. I then stamped the larger motif and decoupaged after colouring in with A Wink of Stella pens. Finally I added a die cut frame.

Have great fun experimenting.

Love From,
