Craftwork Cards Blog

Quick blog for a quick card

Hey everyone, spring is here yay!!!

For my blog this month I thought I’d do a simple but, I think, effective card.  The most difficult part I always find with Craftwork Cards papers or USB’s is choosing which one to use, they are all just beautiful.  I decided in the end to plump for the pink USB because of the designs but also so I could have double sided paper. The designs I chose were ‘secret spring garden’ and ‘secret summer garden’, nice pastel shades on this crisp spring morning. I printed off 3 double sided sheets in 3 designs.

I don’t have any hexagon dies but I’m lucky enough to have a Scan N Cut so I cut 6 ( 2 of each paper combo) hexagons at 2″x 2¼”, then simply scored them as shown below.

I used a Craftwork Cards 6″ x 6″ card base and added a piece of the paper I had left leaving a small white border then added a piece of white card on top of that leaving a slightly wider border of the patterned paper.  I arranged my scored hexagons in a flower shape, stuck them down when I was happy with the placement,

wound some twine around, stuck a button in the middle, added a sentiment and …

VOILA, a simple yet dimensional card.

I hope you enjoyed this blog, please feel free to leave a comment below if there is anything specific you would like me to include in April’s blog post.

Thanks for taking a look.
