Going round in circles…

Hi everyone. There is something about this time of year that always seems to have me running around in circles, so I thought I’d channel that feeling onto my cards for today’s posts. I have used the Julie Loves…Hearts and Flowers collection. I know lots of you love this collection and these cards might give you some ideas for using up any scraps you have left.

My first card features 18 small circles of 3cm diameter cut from 4 different papers.

I layered the circles onto my 6×6 card blank in rows of 3. I really tried to embrace the white space on these cards, so finished off with just a sentiment.

For my second card, which is 5″x5″, I used the “waste” from two embossed circle frames. I inked these with Cracked Pistachio and Dusty Concord Distress Inks. I cut 7.5cm and 5.5cm circles from my favourite two papers, layering them together.

I arranged my circles on the card, finally adding a sentiment, lightly inked with Cracked Pistachio DI, to the centre of my layered circles.

I really have loved this collection and can’t wait to see what Julie will bring us this month. I have ordered my subscription box and am so excited for my next delivery.

Happy crafting,

Nice cards Cathy, I wouldn’t have known the card with the waste on was 5″ by 5″ had you not said. Regards DebbieXx
